We learned about the importance of communication and practiced some skills to help us be more effective communicators.Communication is when we send a message to someone else. This can be through talking, texting, emailing, letters, and even through non-verbal language such as facial expression and gestures. Communication helps us deal with our feelings in a healthy way. When we keep emotions bottled up inside, they can build up and we could have an emotional explosion. Talking about our feelings helps us prevent them from building up. Listening is also a part of communication. When we learn how to actively listen to others, we can be better friends and better communicators.
We learned what stress is and some healthy ways to deal with it. |
