We learned what the Zones of Regulation are and how they can help us.The Zones of Regulation is a framework created by Leah Kuypers to help children easily identify and regulate their emotions. The GREEN ZONE is when you are calm, in control, and ready to learn. The BLUE ZONE is when you are moving slowly, such as when you are sad or tired. The YELLOW ZONE is when you are starting to lose some control, such as feeling anxious or wiggly. The RED ZONE is when you are out of control, such as being angry or terrified. By learning about the Zones, we can identify our emotional state and learn strategies calm down or cheer up as needed. We can also learn to recognize which zone other people are in, helping us to interact in helpful ways.
We learned about what emotions are and how to notice our emotions.
